From a very young age, I have had the opportunity to travel to Miami almost once a year to visit my relatives from my mother’s side or my older brother, all of whom reside in the Miami area. Due to its sub-tropical climate and diverse culture, Miami has always seemed unique as an American city. From an architectural perspective, every time I visit I have been intrigued by the Southern Mediterranean stucco-style that distinguishes each house. I often leave with a lasting image of the downtown skyline, highlighted by a setting sun whose rays glisten off the crystal-clear blue water.
